Sterling, VA March 2004 -- Fire of God, J. M. Kelly - A New Author Enters the Ring. Just as The Lord of the Rings saga and Left Behind series have garnered multitudes of loyal followers, so too will Fire of God. A ring of incredible power, a once noble crusade turned sour, and a supernatural storm that could change the heavens forever: J. M. Kellys dark allegory delivers that same excitement and more.

Brief Synopsis
Hundreds of years from now on a world very much like our own, the endless struggle between good and evil begins a new and exciting chapter. Inspired by the Judeo-Christian religion, Fire of God is the story of Joseph KaRel the Dark Angel, a tragic hero pitted against his own brother in a war that will decide the fate of the entire galaxy. But Fire of God delves far deeper than any epic of its kind. It also carries with it a most profound message, as the seeds from an ancient religion take root again.

Set on the planet Augusta, the tale follows Josephs early life and the beginning of his crusade. However, the plot takes a decidedly different turn when the tragic loss of his wife causes him to lose the source of his powerhis faith in God. Blinded by his own rage, the Dark Angel becomes a despot bent totally on revenge, as he sets out to conquer the world he once swore to save.

But all hope is not lost. Refusing to give up on our hero, God sends His only Son to save Joseph from destroying himself. Nevertheless, the Saviors mission proves to be a long and costly one as friend and foe are caught up in a whirlwind of death and destruction, the likes of which the world has never witnessed before.

Years later, with the enemy all but annihilated, the Dark Angel finds redemption at last and ends the holy war with an act of mercy. But the finale is nothing short of a bare-fisted fight to the finish, as Joseph beats the devil and saves the galaxy from the forces of evil.

From the Author
When I was developing the main character, I tried to incorporate a piece of every hero I had as a child and even now, from spiritual warriors of the past, to the many pop-icons we have today. What came from that endeavor was a hero like no other. But the Dark Angel is still a very human character. In fact hes not perfect. Hes flawed and also quite vulnerable. And it is those qualities, I believe, that make his character all the more appealing. The reader can relate to him.

Looking back at how all this came to be, one thing stands out more than anything else. Ive always been fascinated by stories of the supernatural, especially those in The Holy Bible. Fire of God is a tribute to those tales of long ago and my faith as a whole.

A Must Buy
Fire of God will have wide-market appeal, and should satisfy readers of diverse backgrounds and interests. But for science fiction and fantasy fans, the story provides them with what theyve been searching for mostescapism. It takes readers back then propels them forward, as a whole new world discovers the majesty of God again. Every chapter will have them begging for more.
